Jean-Jacques Sempé, the world-renowned illustrator who created more than 100 covers for the New Yorker magazine, and together with René Goscinny created the beloved French schoolboy, Le Petit Nicolas, left us on August 11 2022 at the age of 89. May he rest in peace as his memory lives on through his unforgettable stories and drawings.
